Stained Farm Laundry

Made clean through Jesus

by Alissa

I am pretty much a “green” mama. But when it comes to laundry I have started to give up on natural things to clean my kids clothes. I have not found something to get out farm stains. Living on the farm, their clothes are filthy. It frustrates me so much! I have started to shop for dark clothing for the kids to wear on the farm! I mean their clothing is filled with dirt stains! I can’t seem to get the dirt out, so I don’t want to see it.  In Isaiah, Judah was dirty. Filthy. I am not talking about dirt or dust here. It was full of Sin and rebellion. The people forgot who their God was. They participated in religious ceremonies and rituals, but God was sick of watching it!  The people did not have changed hearts. God couldn’t stand watching it!  Take a minute to soak that in–God didn’t care what they were DOING  or how they looked. He cared about what HE could see on the inside. It’s so easy in our world to put on a “show” on social media, church, and even to friends. However, God sees the real us! When no one is watching, He sees our heart and our actions.  Now God loved these people, but they forgot about Him! Isaiah came to show God’s people what they looked like and the Hope our Father had for them. He miraculously held out hope for these unrepentant people, offering a cleansing of sins and faith through obedience to follow Him.

In Isaiah 1:18 it says, “Come now, let’s settle this, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. They are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.”

No matter how stained your life may be God is committed to you and washing your stains away to make you clean. He invites us to turn to him and with repentant hearts and live the way He intended us to live. To love Him whole heartedly and love others.
